Red Prince Bio

The Red Prince was born and raised in a tranquil countryside castle situated on the border of Holland and Germany. When he was still just a young boy, his father began grooming their only child to become heir to the throne. He filled his schedule with meetings and lavish parties where he intently listened to political conversations with heads of state, studied politics and devoted his spare time to charitable causes. Despite his privileged upbringing, his parents ensured that he treated everyone, no matter what their status, with the same amount of class, manners and civility.

One day, while his father addressed a crowd in a local village, the young Red Prince noticed a timid little girl attired in patchy clothes in the distance. Even though she was raggedy in appearance, the Prince saw the true beauty in her eyes. He was spellbound. He immediately felt compelled to introduce himself but noticed a group of boys making fun of her tattered attire. The Prince began to make his way across the crowd to intervene when he encountered an elderly man selling the most alluring red apples he had ever seen. He quickly purchased three apples and delivered two to the boys and the other to the little girl.

He turned to the boys and said: “Please, take these beautiful red apples and enjoy them. But please, next time you have an opportunity, remember to do something nice for someone else.” They apologized to the little girl, thanked the Prince and went on their way, and promised to keep their word.

The girl thanked him and took a bite. “This is the most delicious apple I have ever tasted. What do you call it?” The elder gentlemen who had sold him the apple noticed what the Prince had done and said, “Hello, your majesty. My name is Mr. Princen and I am the grower of this apple. You have shown such kindness towards this little girl. As a symbol of your generosity and civility, I will call this apple the Red Prince.”

From that moment, the Prince knew he had to introduce this apple to the world. When he turned around the little girl had disappeared but he vowed that he would make it his mission to spread manners and etiquette to the world…one Red Prince apple at a time.
