It’s easy, it’s healthy and you can personalize the mixture to make it your own. Add more or less of any ingredient – the dried Red Prince apples make any combination delicious. Ingredients:   3 – Red Prince Apples Your choice of raisins, peanuts, nuts, seeds and other dried fruit Method: Wash, core and dice three large Red Prince apples into 1/4-inch (5 mm) cubes (skin on). Spread apples on parchment lined baking sheet (or use food dehydrator and follow manufacturer instructions). Red Prince Apple Raisin Chutney with Baked Cinnamon Pita Chips Have you ever made your own Chutney? We’re guessing most of you haven’t – some of you probably haven’t even tried it before! Let the Red Prince culture you a bit with this deliciously sweet version of an East Indian classic. Ingredients:   3 – Red Prince Apples   1/2 – Onion 1/4 cup (50 mL) – Red wine vinegar 1/8 cup (30 mL) – Agave syrup 1/2 tsp (2 mL) – Lemon zest 1/2 tsp (2 mL) – Grated ginger 1/2 cup (125 mL) – Raisins   Cinnamon Pita Chips 2 – Plain or whole wheat pita bread 1 tbsp (15 mL) – Olive oil 1/2 tsp (2 mL) – Cinnamon Method: Wash and peel three Red Prince apples, remove the core and dice. Dice 1/2 onion. Place Red Prince apples, onion, 1/4 cup (50 mL) red wine vinegar, 1/8 cup (30 mL) agave syrup, 1/2 tsp (2 mL) lemon zest and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) grated ginger in small pot. Bring to boil and then turn the heat to low. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Add 1/2 cup (125 mL) raisins and cook for 5 more minutes. Cool in fridge. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Cut two pieces pita bread into triangles, brush lightly with 1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil and place on baking tray lined with parchment.
