Royal Wedding Season & The Perfect Wedding
Welcome to Royal Wedding season!
As a royal apple, the Red Prince is excited about the upcoming Royal Wedding, set to take place on April 29th, 2011. In celebration of this momentous occasion, the Red Prince has teamed up with me, Louise Fox, the Etiquette Lady, to offer wedding etiquette tips for the entire planning process. We hope that these blogs will put you in the wedding frame of mind, not just in advance of the royal wedding, but for wedding season in general – which is just around the corner!
Weddings today are complicated affairs. More complicated than ever before.
Changes in society, from a more culturally diverse population to the redefinition of the family have revolutionized the rite. This has given rise to more informal ceremonies, a revival of ethnic customs, a more active role for the groom and more adventurous and imaginative wedding festivities.
What is the one word we most often hear in conjunction with the word wedding: “Perfect.” Everyone is striving for the “perfect” wedding.
And just what is the “perfect” wedding? Is it 4 or 6 bridesmaids, yards of white tulle and red roses? Is it standing barefoot on the beach in the Bahamas where you’re exchanging vows under a setting tropical sun or a backyard BBQ with family and friends?
The fact is the “perfect” wedding is a wedding that is a reflection of who you are, where you have been and the direction you intend to go.
A “perfect” wedding is one that feels right for you and your partner, whether it is a large lavish affair or just a few friends gathered for a picnic in the park. All that really matters is that the love shared between the bride and groom is celebrated.
Here are the four C’s to the perfect wedding:
CONSIDERATION
COMMUNICATION
COMPROMISE
COURTESY
